  • Remove stems from mushroom caps being careful not to break caps. Set caps aside and finely chop stems. Combine sausage and chopped stems in a skillet and cook until sausage is completely cooked. Drain any excess oil and let cool slightly. Stir cream cheese into sausage mixture.
  • Spoon approximately 1 tsp. of mixture into mushroom caps (if you have extra mixture you can add more to each cap).
  • Bake in a 350 degrees F oven for approximately 20 minutes or until caps are cooked to a tender/firmness.


This is an easy recipe for any gathering. I have used these for everything from family get-togethers to formal dinner parties. They are a favorite New Years Eve treat for my husband and children.
