  • Before boiling water, you want to make sure that you have your ingredients all cut and sliced before you boil water. Take the pound of strawberries washed and slice approx 2 cups and then put aside. Cut the whole pound cake into little cubes but you want to make sure you have a little bit to put thin slices on the top of product when is ready to be refrigerated.
  • You can now start to boil your water needed for the Jell-O. While the water is boiling, you put the cubes of cake and slices of strawberries in a cake pan (square for small servings and a rectangle pan for larger servings). Mix all the cake and strawberries for an equal amount in the pans. Then pour hot water in the Jell-O mixture, and stir until all dissolved. Pour Jell-O over the cake and strawberries. Then put the sliced pound cake over the top of Jell-O.
  • Refrigerate for 24 hours with aluminum foil. Then when the Jell-O sets, you can put the whipped topping on top and frost it like a cake. Then take whole strawberries, cut them in half and put all over top. Serve like cake slices and Enjoy!

I have made this for the past 5 years now, everyone wants the recepe for it. Everytime I make this, everyone is so excited that I made such a sweet and refreshing snack. This is usually a summer type recepe, but I make it all year round!
