  • Heat olive oil in large skillet on medium. Sprinkle onion powder, garlic powder, meat tenderizer seasoned with spices, and pepper onto roast, coat with flour. Brown (sear) on all sides in hot oil.
  • Meanwhile, in a large pot, over low/medium combine other ingredients until well mixed and bouillon cubes dissolve.
  • Place roast and "gravy" into a crock-pot. Finish filling with water to cover roast. Cook on low for approximately 8 hrs. depending on size of roast.

Notes

This is great with rice or mashed potatoes. You generally do not need to add salt because of the spices and bouillon cubes. This makes its own gravy and is deeelicious with brown n serve rolls. You can also cut up potatoes and add to the pot the last 2 hours and poke them with a fork to make sure they are done.

My suggestion would be to use the mini-nilla wafers w/ mini muffin pans, or break them up into crumbs & mix with melted butter for the crust, I did this with the leftover batter I had & my family actually liked them better that way!

I didn't have time to brown the roast before putting it in the slow cooker, so I just added some garlic powder and garlic salt to the slow cooker. This recipe was great. The roast had so much flavor and the gravy is perfect for mashed potatoes. My son is very picky and he had seconds.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Made this for a family reunion, it was a big hit. Made this for a family reunion, it was a big hit. None left to take home and several people asked for the recipe. Told them about the Kraft foods web site and they said they would check it out. Very refreshing in this 100 degree weather we are having here in Louisiana

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This is a great little cheesecake. This is a great little cheesecake. Half of my family doesn't like coconut so I changed the topping on half. I spooned Cherry pie filling on and they gobbled them up!
