  • Turn on broiler in oven. In small saucepan, mix sugar and balsamic vinegar. Use medium heat to reduce to syrupy consistency, stirring occasionally.
  • Meanwhile, broil filets approximately 5 minutes on each side, topping with crumbled cheese during the last minute of broiling. This will achieve a medium/medium-well temperature. Remove steaks from broiler when desired temperature is achieved.
  • Place steaks on plates and drizzle each with balsamic syrup. Serve immediately.


A simple, almost foolproof recipe that delivers an upscale, classy appearance and taste. Best served with fresh green beans or steamed asparagus.
