Rated 5 out of 5 by from I made this recipe yesterday and it turned out great! I made this recipe yesterday and it turned out great! It looked like the one on the picture... When i was making it, i was so scared because of the cheesecake (mousse) was runny and figured it would not set good, but it did... but next time i would be making some experiments.... i would add 4 oz more of the cream cheese (half of 1 box) and the next one would be to lessen the milk into just 1 cup not the whole can (or maybe if you can specify the size of the evaporated milk.. there is a small one and the bigger one)... Will definitely make it.... the sweetness is all balanced and the mousse was so "custardly" in texture.... Thank you for sharing! MOre Power!

I've made this twice now, the 1st time I rushed through, skipped some steps & didn't have good results, but that was MY fault. This time, I took my time & made sure I did everything I was supposed to. My pan held exactly 12 cups of water, but I went ahead & reserved 2 cups of batter & it was a good thing, 'cause it wouldn't have all fit! It made some great cupcakes! The cake is amazing, and worth the effort, just make sure you don't skip any steps or leave out any ingredients.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Mine didn't turn out as good as the picture. Mine didn't turn out as good as the picture. I measured the pan and it was 12 cups. It overflowed into the water in the bigger pan it was sitting in. I followed the directions carefully. After I turned it over onto plate it starts to collapse and the middle looks like pudding. I made it a 2nd time to try again for a party the same day instead of the day before, but had the same results. Awful presentation!! I will never make this again.

It looked so soupy going into the oven and after reading some reviews I was afraid it wouldn't work. I followed the recipe but the second time I made it I melted the chocolate in the evaporated milk first. Both times it came out perfect and I got raves. Everyone loved it and asked for it again. If you love chocolate make this cake.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This cake is awesome! This cake is awesome! I followed the directions. I think the reason some are having difficulty is b/c they either don't understand the directions or try to take shortcuts. I'll make this again and again. I did use a 12 cup bundt pan, but next time I'll make two or three cupcakes with it. The cake is equally proportioned. Love it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I made this cake also. I made this cake also. Everyone loved it. I quickly began thinking of other flavors. I noticed that someone said they had used french vanilla....I assume for the cake part, which sounds great. I wondered if anyone had tried to make the mousse a different flavor? Everyone at my house is voting for raspberry. Thoughts anyone?

I used a 12c pan and it bubbled over into the water bath and in my oven (stick an additional cookie sheet on the bottom rack to catch any overflow), but Oh well because this cake is FANTASTIC! Do follow the cooling instructions to a T because if you don't your cake will be a mess! Can't wait to make it again this weekend!
