I also cut the breast into strips and have sweet and sour chicken strips. Your prep. time is longer as you have to roll each slice of chicken in the egg and cornstarch, however it cuts the cooking time by a 1/2 hour.
I don't like sweet and sour, but I loved this one! It got a "You've gotta make this again hunny" from my hubby! I added fresh pineapple for the last 10 min of baking, and it was delish!!!
I made this recipe for my family and they loved it. I have tried other sweet and sour recipes in the past, granted they were more simple, they were always lacking the authentic restaurant flavor of this one. I would definetly recomend cutting the chicken into strips and cooking a side of white rice. I also added drained pineapple chunks to the rice after cooking. Great and fairly easy.
