  • Salt and pepper both sides of rib slabs. Place ribs on sheet pan with bone side down and bake at 350 degrees until meat thermometer reads 160 degrees. (If you like your ribs more tender you can cook in pressure cooker or boil).
  • While ribs are cooking, combine brown sugar, chili powder, garlic powder, onion powder, and salt to form a rub for the ribs. Place slabs of hot ribs on sheet pan and spread rub over entire surface front and back and the heat from the cooked ribs will melt the rub to form a thick glaze on the slabs.
  • Once ribs are thoroughly coated with melted rub, the prepared ribs can be taken immediately to the grill or refrigerated for later grilling. Cook ribs on grill over low flame to heat up and get the grill flavor.
  • Remove ribs from grill, place on cutting board and cut into 1 to 2 bone sections for easy finger eating. Dip the sections into heated Kraft BBQ sauce. Place on serving platter and enjoy.

Special Equipment Needed

Recipe great to prepare the night before and heat up on the grill. Depending on if you like your ribs chewy or falling off of the bone, you can cook how you like prior to grilling. I make the base rub with brown sugar and chili powder and throw other spices in as I feel like. Easy to adjust the spiciness by adding/subtracting chili powder. Great for the experimenter. Creates a nice sweet and spicy flavor. I have never had a complaint.
