  • Brown beef or turkey in a skillet, and drain grease. Put beef or turkey into a crock-pot.
  • Add the onions, green pepper, tomato sauce, water, seasoning mix and sugar. Stir thoroughly.
  • Cover and cook on low for 8-10 hours, or on high for 3-4 hours.


I spoon the Sloppy Joe mixture onto fresh, soft Kaiser rolls cut in half. I also use it the next day to make tacos!!!! It's great over rice too. This is a very versatile recipe.

    I added Chili Sauce, Pepper, and Worcestershire sauce. Made it much better

    It wasn't very good as a sloppy joe mix. It might be better for a mexican dish.
