I put a little more than 2 lbs of ground beef in the pan (browned & drained first), then added the cut Velveeta cheese in 1/4 thick squares right off the block to cover the meat. It melted right down into the meat perfectly.I added some salt / pepper over the top of the tater tots as well. I covered with foil for the first hour then uncovered for the remaining to crisp the tater tots. Next time I would probably use less Velveeta and add a shredded cheese instead.
