Can also be done in a crock-pot, brown meat, make gravy in skillet, pour into crock-pot with mushrooms and onions and cook on low all day. You won't believe the taste of this dish, it is wonderful!
For a swedish meatball taste to this dish, add 1/2 cup Breakstone's sour cream to the gravy mixture. Meat mixture can be done the day before and wrapped up tightly in fridge and popped in the pan when ready to save time.
I have made salisbury steak before but with this recipe it came out like mush instead of a steak patty. Maybe I did something wrong but this is the first time I have ever had this problem! The ingredients seemed to make a promising meal......it wasn't for my family.
