  • Set oven to 350 degrees. Spray lightly with cooking spray on 2 9-inch cake pans. Mix cake mix, water, and vegetable oil on low speed for 1 minute. Add eggs one at a time, and then mix on medium speed for 2 minutes. Pour half of the mix into one pan and half into the other. Bake 29-35 minutes.
  • While baking, mix with a spoon sour cream, powdered sugar, and cornstarch in a small bowl. Gently add whip topping. Insert toothpicks in cakes to see if they are ready. If they come out clean they are done, if not put back in the oven for a few more minutes.
  • Spread filling on 1 layer and top with the other layer. Set stove on and melt jelly, add the other ingredients except strawberries. Heat until it is boiling. Cool off. Pour on top of cake. Top with strawberries.
