  • Combine 1 1/2 cups sugar, 6 Tbsp. margarine, 1/3 cup evaporated milk in pot. Bring to a full boil stirring constantly over medium high heat. Cook to soft boil stage, about 5 minutes. Stir constantly to prevent scorching.
  • Remove from heat and stir in chocolate pieces until melted. Add 1 cup (1/2 jar) marshmallow creme, and 1/2 tsp. vanilla. Beat until well blended. Pour as soon as marshmallow is blended into a well greased 8 x 8 inch, or larger, dish.
  • Repeat with remaining ingredients substituting the peanut butter for the chocolate pieces. Spread over the chocolate layer. Cool completely before serving.

Special Equipment Needed


I start the peanut butter batch in another pot before the first one is ready to pour. I find keeping both hot they adhere to each other better.
