When I was a child 50 yrs ago my great aunt's produced this cake, they eliminated the vanilla because of the alcohol content. However this cake can be flavored with anything. It freezes perfectly in any form. Toasting perfectly. Slicing in thin slices and strawberries with whip cream excellent the bundt pan sprayed with vegetable spray or floured convenctially is my favorite.
