  • Brown ground beef until all red is gone, drain. Mix in taco seasoning as directed on package (instead of adding water I leave a little of the grease from the meat in the pan for the flavor and I mix the seasoning mix with that). Make the instant mash potatoes as directed on package.
  • Fill pie crust with meat and cover with a layer (or two) of the American cheese. Spread mashed potatoes over the top.
  • Put in the oven 450 degrees F until cheese is melted (you should be able to tell it will kind of come over the side a little) and the potatoes with have a nice crispy tannish brown to the top. Let cool and enjoy.


* (from the box with 2 packets in it) ** I use a lot of cheese. I love cheese. Very good as a side dish or as a meal. One of my friends adds peppers and onions to the meat. She enjoys it. I am not too fond of it though.
