  • 1. In an electric mixer, beat cream cheese and butter until well blended.
  • 2. Add vanilla and mix in sugars.
  • 3. Combine frozen berries, syrup and sugar in a medium saucepan. Heat thoroughly and keep warm.
  • 4. Preheat griddle pan on medium heat.
  • 5. Combine eggs, vanilla and maple syrup in a shallow dish.
  • 6. Beat slightly with wire whisk until well blended.
  • 7. Sprinkle cinnamon on top of mixture.
  • 8. Place one slice of bread at a time in the mixture until the first side soaks in, then flip and soak the second side.
  • 9. Add a pat of butter to the preheated pan and place your bread slices on until brown on both sides.
  • 10. Place one slice of toast on a plate and spoon filling on top. Place second piece of toast on top and spoon topping down over the top.


This is my family's favorite breakfast recipe. I had a similar dish at a national chain restaurant once and thought I could do much better. It is simple to prepare and very hearty. Try it with peaches, apples or your favorite fruit! Start off your day with this fabulous treat!
