Make It

  • In crock-pot mix together the ketchup and Coke. Make sure it is enough to cover the meat.
  • Place the meat into the sauce, cover, and cook on low for 6 to 8 hours. The sauce will thicken and stick to the meat.
  • If you can take it out without it falling off the bones enjoy as is. If not then remove the bones and serve on bread for BBQ sandwiches.

This needs no extra spices and it works great.

The sauce did not really thicken, like the recipe states - it separated. I cooked it on low for 8 hours. The meat was very tender - definitely no knife needed. And the meat was very flavorful!...But not so much a bbq flavor - more of a ketchupy flavor. But it WAS very good and will probably make again. It was the most tender ribs I've ever had.
