  • To make rice:
  • Follow preparation instructions depending on serving size. Add butter or margarine, oil and/or salt (for taste) to boiling water. Let rice cook thoroughly and fluff with fork.
  • To make beans:
  • Drain fluid from can of beans. Heat a saucepan, and add beans. Finely chop onion and add to beans. Stir in salt, pepper and grated oregano to beans. Add a cup or water and stir.
  • Let it come to a boil and let the sauce thicken. Cover after it comes to a boil.
  • Put it all together: lay a tortilla on a plate and fill with rice and beans. Fold and roll burrito. Sit and enjoy!

Special Equipment Needed


It's good if you know the folding method for burritos. All you have to do is fold the ends together and roll. Add guacamole or salsa to your burrito for that extra zing.(I'll put up my special recipe for guacamole soon!) Add lettuce and tomatoes on the side if you like. I hope you enjoy this! It's nutritious and delicious. A healthier alternative to the all time fave!
