  • In a medium bowl stir 2 cups of flour with salt and baking powder. In a large bowl beat sugar and butter until creamy. Beat in egg and vanilla. Stir flour mixture into butter mixture until mixed. If dough is too sticky to form balls, stir in remaining flour 1 Tbsp. at a time. Form dough into balls then flatten into disc. Wrap and refrigerate for 1 hour or 5 days.
  • When ready to bake, remove wrapping and stand for 10-15 min. Preheat oven to 375°F. Roll dough no thicker then 1/4 inch and cut out shapes. Lightly brush with water and sprinkle sugar. Bake for 8-10 min.
  • While baking, melt white chocolate. Remove cookies from rack. Let it cool down. Then dip cookies into white chocolate and top it with crushed candy canes.


You may also use milk chocolate as the dip and sprinkles instead of candy cane.
