  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Cut fat off of chicken, and butterfly them so that they open on one side.
  • Mix approximately 3/4 (or less/more) of the shredded cheese with butter and sour cream.
  • Dip bottom of chicken in bread crumbs, place in baking pan. Stuff mixture inside chicken, evenly, close chicken, and then sprinkle the rest of bread crumbs on top.
  • Let bake covered approximately 35 minutes, or until chicken is no longer pink inside.

Notes

You can substitute the amount of the ingredients and it doesn't really make a difference. Tastes great with green beans.

    Very good!! Even my two year old declared it to be "Yummy and good." Next time I'm going to add some green onions to the filling, and use a mixture of cheddar and jack cheeses... I like how flexible this recipe is, it even had my husband giving ideas about variations we could use although the recipe as written is FABULOUS. We'll have it again.
