  • Preheat oven to 350 deg. and grease an 8" square cake pan or a 6-cup bundt pan. Cream together sugar, butter and egg with mixer. Add milk and mix.
  • In separate bowl mix together flour, baking powder and salt. Add to creamed mixture and mix well. Do not overbeat. Toss well-drained cranberries with a tablespoon of flour and gently fold into mixture.
  • Bake 30-40 min until toothpick inserted in cake comes out clean. Let cool.
  • Sauce:
  • Put brown sugar, granulated sugar, butter and cream in medium saucepan over med-high heat. Cook about 5 minutes until all sugars are dissolved, stirring often. Cut cake, ladle warm sauce over each slice and serve.

Notes

Per serving: 630 cal., 22 grams fat, 400 mill. sodium. Beautiful red and white presentation, great for a holiday meal. Wisconsin is the second largest producer of cranberries in the country.
