  • 1. Bring two cups water to a boil. Take off heat and add water and both packages of Sugar Free Strawberry Kiwi Jell-O into a medium-sized bowl. Stir until all gelatin is dissolved, about 2 minutes. Then, add your 2 cups cold water, Sprite Zero or any other preferred substitute. Pour into container of choice. I use a patriotic hat-shaped mold. Let set for about 2 hours in refrigerator.
  • 2. After elapsed time, drop the preferred amount of fruit into the gelatin. It just depends on how much or how little fruit you want within your salad. Put back into the refrigerator for another 2-3 hours in the refrigerator.
  • 3. After the gelatin is firm, stir up your Cool Whip very well, making it extremely smooth. Spread over gelatin. Then, make sure the rest of the berries are drained and that no extra juice is present. Arrange berries to look like a flag, or just place them onto the Cool Whip. Enjoy!

The red and blue berries bring out the symbolism of patriotism, freedom, braveness, and much more. This recipe is perfect for a 4th of July cookout or any time of year when you want to make this delicious and healthy dessert! You may want to use less than 16 oz. of berries, but I love my berries so I put the entire 16 oz. berries in the salad. You don't have to use Sugar Free Cool Whip, but I use it because I have diabetes. You can also use any other flavor of sugar free or regular gelatin of your choice.
