  • Prepare Dinner as directed on package.
  • Stir in carrots. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.

Cooking Know-How

To make pureed carrots, peel carrots; cut into small chunks. Place in saucepan with water. Cook 12 to 15 min. or until tender; drain. Place in blender container; cover. Blend until pureed.

Substitute

Substitute 1 baby food jar (6 oz.) carrots for the pureed cooked carrots.

Cooking Know-How

Make your own baby food. Puree leftover carrots or your family's favorite vegetable in blender container. Pour into ice cube trays. Freeze 1 hour. Remove from tray and place in resealable plastic freezer bags. Next time you make Kraft Dinner, add 2 to 3 frozen vegetables cubes when adding the Cheese Sauce Mix.

If you already like Kraft's classic Cheese and Macaroni, then you'll like this souped-up version with some more veggies and flavor. I love the idea of putting parmesan cheese on Mac 'n' Cheese. In fact, I think I'll do that a lot, even if I don't add the carrots. The flavor of the parmesan "kicks it up a notch."

It looked great and I thought it would go over well with them, but one bite and they could taste the difference. Wouldn't work on my little guys.
