Rated 5 out of 5 by from my husband loves this recipe. my husband loves this recipe. i made a few changes when cooking: i added 1/4 tsp garlic powder and browned the ground beef with the garlic and chili powder together. after draining and adding the water/noodles, i sprinkled a bit more chili powder on top, along with some pepper. we left out the broccoli after reading some of the comments. i also added a touch of milk at the end to make it more creamy. last night, we thought it was great. at first bite, i was thinking it might need some corn, but my husband likes it as is. i'm eating the leftovers for lunch right now and it tastes even better the 2nd day. we will definitely be making this again!

This recipe was a hit with my children, even my pickiest eater ate every single last bite on his plate. My husband was not very impressed with this recipe but he did like that his boys liked it and ate everything on their plates! I made it with BBQ sauce and for the vegetable I used french styled green beans. The next time I make this, and yes this is going to be a keeper, I think I may use ground turkey (or chicken) or turkey sausage and for the vegetable maybe use frozen peas. It could use more seasoning added when you brown the meat to give meat more flavor. Over all though very good, child friendly meal!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from This was okay. This was okay. I didn't realize til the last minute that we had run out of ketchup, but according to other comments, it's better left out anyways..I did add a little bit of Italian dressing to give it a little bit more flavor, and it needed some more liquid for the cheese to melt, anyways. The broccoli was also a bit overpowering. If you like broccoli a lot , it's not bad, but there is def. no 'hiding' the broccoli from the kids in this recipe!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from This was great! This was great! I did it a little differently, though. I added pepper, chili powder, and garlic salt to the meat while browning it to make it flavorful. When adding the macaroni, I added chili powder and paprika and a little more water than it called for. At the end, I added some milk (with the cheese packet and ketchup) to make it more creamy. I cooked it a little longer than it says, to make the broccoli softer.

Once I had the recipe done, I tasted it, and it needed something more (as with a lot of recipes on this site, some are kind of bland). I added a teaspoon of ground cumin as well. And about a cup of cubed velveeta--it adds more creaminess and a little extra salt. So it's probably not considered a "healthy" choice now, but it was pretty tasty! And has a serving of veggies hidden in it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This recipe was quick, fast, and filling. This recipe was quick, fast, and filling. I made this as a main dish because I was so pressed for time. It took me about 25 minutes from start to finish, but I doubled the recipe because of the family size. Clean-up too was quick.... not a lot of pots and pans to wash. I would definately recommend this recipe to anyone who is pressed for time, and wants a filling meal.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from First I seasoned my meat. First I seasoned my meat. I added one egg, worcestershire sauce, salt, pepper, and some MSG. Then I browned my meat. After that I followed the recipe as it was stated. Mine came out very good. It was a hit. I think it was because I put some seasoning in the meat. I have a 6 day / 6 week plan of meals that I cook and this one will definately be cooked again in 6 weeks.
