  • Heat oil in large nonstick skillet on medium-high heat. Add green peppers, onions and crushed red pepper; mix well. Cook 2 min. or until vegetables are crisp-tender, stirring frequently.
  • Add turkey sausage, tomatoes with their liquid and the water; stir. Bring to boil.
  • Stir in rice; cover. Reduce heat to low; simmer 5 min. Stir before serving.


Prepare as directed, using instant brown rice.

    So easy to throw together & my boys who never eat rice devoured it & asked for seconds! Definitely a winner & will make again. I also added the kidney beans as suggested by other reviewers. Yum!

    This recipe is so quick and easy! The first time we made it we were shocked at how much flavor it had for so few ingredients. This is now one of our favorite dinner recipes and we make it a couple times a month!

    Very easy to make. I didn't have the sausage or green pepper so I subsituted cooked ham and yellow & orange bell peppers. Then added frozen peas for something green. Looked very colorful. Will make again.
