Make It

Tap or click steps to mark as complete

  • Brown meat in large skillet on medium heat; drain. Add water, ketchup and mustard; mix well. Bring to boil.
  • Stir in Macaroni; return to boil. Reduce heat to medium-low; cover. Simmer 10 minutes or until macaroni is tender.
  • Add Cheese Sauce and onion powder; mix well.

Storing Ground Beef

Store ground beef in the coldest part of the refrigerator for up to 2 days. (The refrigerator temperature should be no higher than 40°F.) For longer storage, wrap the meat tightly in foil or freezer-weight plastic wrap and store in the freezer. When thawing, place the meat on the bottom shelf of the refrigerator to prevent any drippings from cross-contaminating other foods.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This is just exactly what I was looking for! This is just exactly what I was looking for!I usually spend a lot of time cooking big dinners, but needed something quick one night, and this foot the bill perfectly! I did double the recipe, and found I needed to add 1/2 cup more water, and add 3 min. more to cooking time. I cooked half an onion diced w/the meat, instead of using the onion powder.Added salt and pepper at the end. We all loved it. It tasted like a cheeseburger!Served w/corn on cob and salad. YUMMY! Try it!!!

I felt this was a very good recipe because it is simple, quick, easy to prepare, has two main food groups (meat & cereal), & is something small children will eat & enjoy. The only thing I might suggest is adding cheese to give it one more food group. Even broccoli could be added to get a vegetable in the recipe. :o)

Rated 4 out of 5 by from This recope was so very good! This recope was so very good! I like to add onions and use 1/4 or 1/2 lb. frozen beef hamburger patties and out them in the skillet frozen and as they cook break them apart./ THis works so great because the peices of meat are bigger and more cheeseburgery?? this is a great recipe to add your own touch to. PERFECTO!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from My husband and kids liked it but not my 21 month old... My husband and kids liked it but not my 21 month old... I actually didn't taste it it smelled funky. I had to ad some extra water and then I added some milk because the water evaporated too fast... I also added some peas to have a veggie included. It was easy and fast, but I probably wont make it again

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This one was much better than the BBQand Rice Dinner. This one was much better than the BBQand Rice Dinner. Had this one last week-end. Enjoyed it very much.Made it again yesterday ,but I did not have the kraft cheese and macaroni mix ,so I improvised by boiling some macaroni and adding some grated cheese to taste. It came out OK (very good).

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great! Great! I've made it with onion powder and also with onions instead of the onion powder. It's great both ways. Soooo much better than the boxed brand of Cheeseburger Mac. And this recipe is too easy to make me go back to the box! I have Seven Grandchildren and they love it!!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Are you kidding? Are you kidding? How could this NOT be a dinner kids would love as much as the parents! We just serve a salad along with it for the veggies - but you can also add a bit of your favorite vegetable(s) for extra texture and nutrition!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from I was very dissapointed with this recipe and my kids disliked it. I was very dissapointed with this recipe and my kids disliked it. It was salty and tasted like it had alot of artificial ingredients. It would be easier and tastier to make a baked ziti with real cheese and add some ground meat.
