It was very bland even though I seasoned the hamburger with salt, pepper and garlic powder and sprinkled shredded cheddar cheese on top. It just seemed to not have much flavor, or as a previous reviewer mentioned, the ingredients just didn't seem to go together. The recipe was easy to make, tasted okay (but bland) and looked colorful, but I will not be making it again. Perhaps it would have retained more flavor if the hamburger wasn't in the pan and in the liquid while the rice was cooking.

It was delicious and very easy to prepare. I keep browned ground beef in my freezer, so I had this dinner on the table in under 20 minutes! Whole family enjoyed it. I served it with a salad and bread.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from This was very yummy! This was very yummy! reading other comments, I too added some tabasco sauce for a bit more spice. I also added a cup of frozen edamame along with the frozen mixed veggies. hubby said it'd be better yet if used chicken instead of hamburger. will have to try that next time.

I added garlic, salt & pepper, a few dashes of Frank's hot sauce & sour cream to this recipie. Also, I used shredded Cheddar Cheese on top at the end instead of Parmesean Cheese. This recipie is a good base recipie, but needs to be spiced up with what your tastes are.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I really liked this recipe and it was very easy to prepare. I really liked this recipe and it was very easy to prepare. I made it with broccoli, and topped it with extra cheese. I think I would add more spices like garlic the next time. My picky eating young boys were not impressed with this one though.
