Rated 1 out of 5 by from I would not make this recipe again. I would not make this recipe again. I followed the recipe to a T. I would recommend ommiting the cinnamon. The cinnamon made it unedible. Also, it tasted like it had something missing, so I would add sage and a little bit of sugar. Didn't taste exactly homemade. Probably would taste better with dry beans. No one went for seconds and my husband hated it. I've tried several recipes from Kraft and this is the first one that wasn't good. Also, I didn't care too much for the combination of the beans it called for. Cut the recipe in half unless you are feeding the entire city.

I have been making this recipe for years but I use ground turkey instead of ground beef and substitute a large can of crushed tomatoes and a can of Rotel tomatoes for the can of tomato paste in this recipe. As for seasoning I use Carroll Shelby's dried chili mix, It has the chili powder, salt, cayenne pepper, and masa flour in indivdual bags. I don't add all the cayenne then it is too hot! This makes it easy for me and in about one hour I have chili. Have to have the sour cream and we put cheddar cheese on top. I also cut up whatever kind of onion I have on hand (green/red/yellow) for some extra oomph. My husband loves this chili and so does my five year old son. My son said that this is the best chili ever.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This is a favorite in my family. This is a favorite in my family. I have a 2 1/2 year old son and he LOVES this recipe. He loves that he gets to help put in the beans and washing out the cans, then stirring the cornbread. All that work makes it feel like it's "his" and he eats it so good! It does make alot, but I freeze the leftovers in gladware and use it for lunches. Eats even better the second time around! I omit the cinnamon because to me its too noticable, but otherwise, PERFECT!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This has been the base for my go-to Chili recipe for about 5 years. This has been the base for my go-to Chili recipe for about 5 years. I have won contests and always have to bring a copy of the recipe when bringing to a potluck. I omit the cinnamon and blackbeans and use 3 cans of pinto and 3 cans of kidney beans instead. I add more seasonings(Chili powder, cumin, garlic powder, and some red pepper flakes) which makes a difference. Simmer longer than it says to really make sure beans are tender. So yummy!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I have made this recipe many, many times and can't get enough of it! I have made this recipe many, many times and can't get enough of it!! It is now a Military chili cook off award winning recipe too! It just won my boyfriend a 4 day weekend! I skip the cinnamon and add a small can of corn, and tomatoes with chili peppers and onions instead of just plain tomatoes. I also season the beef with season salt as its cooking. And, since I'm from Texas, I of course have to add a little extra chili powder. Perfecto!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This makes a great chili! This makes a great chili! I did leave out the cinnamon because we didn't like a previous recipe we tried that called for it, but I left everything else just the same. It's great for our family with little kids. My husband does tend to like things a little spicier, so he just adds a little hot sauce before serving. This recipe makes enough to freeze for a later meal, which I think is great. Overall, perfect for our family!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This recipe was great! This recipe was great! It makes a LOT of food though so you may want to half it. Also, I cooked it following the recipe but would make a few changes. Put beans, tomatoes, paste, and seasoning in separate pot and start warming it. Cook onions and peppers, then add to pot. LAST, cook meat and add to pot. This keeps the meat from getting hard and chewy. All in all, this recipe is great!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This recipe was awesome! This recipe was awesome! It was tasty as well as quick and easy and clean-up was a breeze. My favorite part of the recipe was the 3-Bean Combo. It really added color and great flavor. I was only cooking for 2 people so I cut the ingredients in half and still had plenty for lunch the next day for both my husband and me. I would highly recommend this recipe if you like chilli!
