  • Rinse clean plastic containers and lids with boiling water. Dry thoroughly. Measure orange and lemon juices into large bowl. Stir in sugar. Let stand 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • Mix water and pectin in small saucepan. Bring to boil on high heat, stirring constantly. Boil and stir 1 minute. Add to juice mixture; stir 3 minutes or until sugar is dissolved and no longer grainy. (A few sugar crystals may remain.)
  • Fill all containers immediately to within 1/2 inch of tops. Wipe off top edges of containers; immediately cover with lids. Let stand at room temperature 24 hours. Jelly is now ready to use. Store in refrigerator up to 3 weeks or freeze extra containers up to 1 year. Thaw in refrigerator before using.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from If you like marmalade, oranges or citrus, this is the jelly for you. If you like marmalade, oranges or citrus, this is the jelly for you. The best part is that it has none of the bitter aftertaste of marmalade, and a delicious cirtus taste that is so yummy! This is a very easy recipe, and one I am passing on to the rest of my family. I used frozen orange juice to mke mine, and it turmed out perfect. I loved how easy and fast it was from start to finish, and presto, I have home made jelly in my freezer now. I am eager to try the other yummy looking freezer jam and jelly recipes on the site, especially the Strawberry Rhubarb freezer jam, it looks good!

This recipe was given as a handout at a tupperware party, and it looked so good I had to try it! The first batch was gone so fast, I had to make up a second within a week. The flavor is wonderfully fresh, and it is spectacular on an English muffin or a crumpet. Finally, orange jelly without the bitterness of marmalade! I did use fresh, not 'from concentrate,' orange juice, so this may have given it a better flavor--the aroma and color are really wonderful.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This is a great jelly. This is a great jelly. Simple to make and my family loved it. Not thinking I substituted an orange juice drink instead of pure orange juice and it still turned out great. They loved putting it on waffles and requested more when I ran out of this recipe.
