STOVE TOP One-Dish Chicken Bake

STOVE TOP One-Dish Chicken Bake recipe

Comfort food gets even cozier when stuffing is involved. Add chicken and sour cream and you've got a piping-hot reason to run, not walk, to the table.

I have made this the original way and I have also made it with Campbell Chedder Cheese Soup and it is amazing!

I made this doubling the recipe and adding onions, celery, sage and jalepeno to the stuffing mix. I used cream of mushroom AND cream of onion soups and put frozen mixed veggies on top of the chicken. Next time I'd use canned veggies cause the frozen ones were tough. I would cut the chicken into smaller pieces next time as it didn't get done. The entire family LOVED it! I WILL make this one again. Thanks Kraft!

It went over wonderful! My 16month old had two helpings and my husband who is not a casserole fan ate a full bowl and said this is nice on a cold night like tonight. I added corn, carrots, and used cream of celery (since I had no cream mushroom or chicken on hand), also made the stuffing in chicken both, added some plain bread crumbs and cheese on top. Very fast and easy, will make another evening.

Has anyone made a variation of this recipe in a slow cooker? If so, what did you do?

I have made this a few times. It was bland and dry the first time. I now double the sour cream and add 1/2 cup of white whine with the chicken and add a cup or more of Italian blend cheese. We love it with leftover roasted leftover vegetables. Try it with dark meat, it has much more flavor

I did not find this to be good. It lacked taste to me. The only reason I am giving this a 3 is because my family liked it. I will not be making it again.
