I thought the recipe tasted good, but the crust was hard, and I followed the advice of other reviewers and only baked it for 5 minutes. The bars were hard to cut and stuck to the foil. The bars were messy looking, but might try again, and make the crust a little thicker.
I used a graham cracker crust and lime juice and served with berries on top. It was very well received!
delicious! i used extra nilla wafers for a thicker crust... yummy!!
Really good! It was a hit at the party!
I liked the lemon part but the crust was horrible (too hard) I will try it again but I think I will use a graham cracker crust instead.
These were good, a little messy & sticky to cut up though. The crust was a little tough to cut but tasted good. Nice creamy smooth texture & not too lemony, perfect summer dessert. I'd make these again for sure.
I used graham cracker crumbs.I did 1/2cup lemon juice. They were great.
It took longer than the 28 minutes for the middle to set when I made this, so we extended the total time to about 34 minutes. The top was great, but the crust was way too hard after cooking so long. I'll have to try it again and bake the crust less time than the 15 minutes suggested. Otherwise, it was a fresh, tasty dessert.
This was a great summery dessert recipe that was a snap to make. I made mine with graham cracker crumbs, 1/4 c melted margarine, and the brown sugar instead of the Nilla Wafers. I have to say that it was a crowd pleaser!
This was a great recipe. I don't really even care for lemon and I still liked this recipe. It was my mom's favorite dessert that she's ever had. She's begging me to make it again really soon. I think I'll omit the lemon peel next time since I don't think it really added anything. Other than that it was perfect.
