These are delicious and very easy to throw together to add to a meal. I had to add a splash more of milk to mine.
Made these biscuits to go with homemade stew. Wasn't sure how they would turn out since I have never made biscuits. My hubby loved them. After reading other reviews I added garlic powder and Mrs. Dash Tableblend. They were great and will definitely make them again. Thx!
These were good in a pinch when you are craving biscuits, but not something impressive that I would serve to guests. I used to recipes because i had the ingredients on hand. I did think it lacked flavor and I wish the dough was a little bit more flaky. Overall if you are in a pinch this is a good recipe but it's not a wow dish.
I used buttermilk - still good. Also, used salted butter, could have got by with 1/8 tsp of additional salt. After 12 minutes at 450 F my biscuits were a little to soft and I had to use a knife to separate into. Any comments or suggestions on how to firm them up a little?
These were ok as far as a biscuit goes, but they weren't fluffy enough for me. They were also lacking in flavor. Maybe they need some garlic or more salt.
YUM!!! That's all I can say!!! May try to add some italian seasonings to it next time...
YUM! I love cheddar biscuits and these were most excellent. I really liked the way they biscuits were cut out by a knife into squares. They were small but they did rised but than I did use self rising flour and added the 2tsps of baking powder as stated in the recipe. Instead of using the cheese spread as stated I melted some butter and added minched garlic, greek seasoning and Johnny's seasoning salt and brushed the biscuits after baked. They were wonderful! Thank you for sharing!
I have had the best compliments on these biscuits! I like to add a lil garlic to them as well and everyone loves them!! I even had a special someone tell me they tasted like grandmas!! lol love these!!
Fantastic, restaurant quality.
I made these biscuits over the holiday and they were tasty next time I will double the recipe they were small. I love the cream cheese with them it adds extra flavor.
