These truffles were delicious! My kids and other adults love them when I made for a family reunion! I would made this many more to come.

Recipe is messy to make and tastes bitter. I'm afraid to give these as gifts, I had to spit it out. Kept thinking I misread the recipe. I think it needs sugar mixed with the cream cheese and some vanilla or rum flavoring. Doubt I will bother trying to tweak this recipe due to cost of ingredients.

I'm going to make these tonight with my 8 year old daughter. Does anyone know if they need to stay refrirated being they are made with cream cheese

I made these last year to go along with dessert. They have been requested for this year too.

It was a hit! I used 18 squares of chocolate squares which was plenty. I also used toothpicks instead of a fork for dipping. Very rich and definitely are "sensational".

In process on this now (filling tastes delicious!), but have a tip. To keep things clean, put sandwich-sized Ziplocs on your hands before rolling the mixture. My husband used our 1 tsp. measure to pull it out after about 30 mins chilling in the freezer, and I rolled it into balls and put on waxed paper-covered plate to freeze before dipping. I'll be rolling in walnuts, Heath Bit of Brickle and Andes pieces after topping.

Excellent Recipe! I do however offer tips for making this easier and less messy. Instead of refriderating after mixing choc. and cream cheese put mixture directly into a pastry bag or ziplock sadwich bag and cut corner off. Ready your wax paper on a cookie sheet and squeeze the mixture onto it. THEN refriderate until solid and coat. Cuts the time down and less mess!!

Very easy but takes time. The truffles turned out beautiful! It's a little sweet for my liking, but I'm giving them away as gifts so it works out.

These are out of sight. Yes, they will make a mess of your hands but who cares? That good. The cream cheese and chocolate make a very good "cheat" for truffle filling. And they say any real chocolate fan will not eat anything but semi or bittersweet...and I agree. Don't make subs, embrace the flavor of pure chocolate! (although I've had the white chocolate oreo ones and they are very good too--supersweet but good). anyway, I followed this recipe to a tee and decorated with christmas colored non pareil sprinkles and dropped them in a mini muffin liner to serve. Pretty presentation and I was lucky to grab the last one at the party. one note--you can roll them small, the chocolate coating adds a lot of volume.
