Maybe I did something wrong, but I thought it was kind of bland. Boyfriend thought it was good.

I've made this a few times now for my husband and for lunch with friends. It's really good! I added a little extra chili powder and a bit of garlic powder. It's not spicy, but it is flavorful, especially with the melted cheese. I don't have a panini press, so I buttered the bread and fried it like I would for a grilled cheese. I even had people ask for the recipe!
The idea of this recipe is good, but the chicken salad itself was very bland and tasteless. I added regular mayo, spicy dijon mustard, ground mustard, salt, crushed red pepper, garlic powder and oregano. Needs many changes before it is worth eating.
I used canned chicken for this. I also added other spices such as cumin, garlic and onion powder, seasoned salt. I also used sliced cheddar cheese. And since I don't have a panini grill I used my Foreman grill. Worked out well. My husband had three sandwiches!
This was really good. I didn't have any chili powder on hand so I used cumin. I think it would have been better with chili powder. But it was so easy. We ate in shifts that night. My girls and I ate first then when my husband and son got home from football practice, I threw their panini's on the grill. It was easy!
The sandwich was very tasty. I didn't have tomatoes or salsa so I just stuck to the chicken salad and some cheese and it was still very good. I made extra chicken salad to keep in the fridge for a quick meal during the week. I'll definitely make this again.
This recipe did not have much of a kick. I too had to add salsa for a kick. I will not make this recipe again.
This sandwich is wonderful! I substituted salsa for the fresh tomato, and I cut the chili powder back a little. I don't have a panini press, so I lightly buttered the bread and prepared them in a skillet like I would grilled cheese. This will become a regular part of our dinner rotation.
