Taco Soup

Veggies and beef get a little heat and a lot of flavor with less than half an hour on the stove. Top with cheese and let it melt in, then add sour cream for a cool finish.

What You Need

lb. extra-lean ground beef

onion, chopped

cans (15.5 oz. each) mild chili beans

can (14.5 oz.) whole tomatoes, undrained

can (14.25 oz.) corn, undrained

can (8 oz.) tomato sauce

pkg. (1-1/4 oz.) TACO BELL® HOME ORIGINALS® Taco Seasoning Mix

cups water

1-1/2

cups KRAFT 2% Milk Shredded Cheddar Cheese

Make It

BROWN meat with onions in large saucepan; drain. Return meat mixture to pan.

ADD all remaining ingredients except cheese; stir, breaking up tomatoes with spoon. Bring to boil; simmer on medium-low heat 5 min., stirring occasionally.

Okay, I subbed the ground beef with turkey to cut down on the chol. Whole tomatoes was waste, diced may have been better. Low fat or no fat sour cream would have been even better. Too much sodium for us. It isn't something we would do again. For a large family is probably works.

This is like my mother in laws recipe. Instead of using water, use beef broth and add a small can of green chiles.

This recipe was so good, it's a lot like chili. I used one can of chili beans and one can of black beans and topped with fritos cheese and sour cream. So good!

This is the best soup ever! Always a hit, very easy and I usually have all the fixin's in the pantry anyway! MUST TRY THIS RECEIPE

So easy and very tasty. You can easily raise the tempature of the flavor if you would like.

So simple & sooo delicious! Hubby and I loved it. And it's really diet friendly as well. I served it with the cheese on top along with tortilla strips....would be great with a little dollop of sour cream as well. We will definitely be adding this to our regular meal rotation.

I love this soup! It was really easy to make for starters. I would agree that it was a little bland just going from the recipe but I added some hot sauce, cumin, and garlic and that did the trick. I also served it with sour cream and fritos as someone else had suggested and I just can't get enough of it! Love adding new recipes to the rotation.
