What You Need

cups flour

tsp. baking soda

1/4

tsp. salt

pkg. (4 oz.) BAKER'S Unsweetened Chocolate

1/2

cup butter

pkg. (8 oz.) PHILADELPHIA Cream Cheese, cubed, softened

1-1/4

cups sugar, divided

egg

tsp. vanilla

1/3

cup red raspberry jam

Make It

MIX flour, baking soda and salt. Microwave chocolate and butter in large microwaveable bowl on HIGH 2 min.; stir until chocolate is completely melted. Add cream cheese; stir until completely melted. Stir in 1 cup sugar, egg and vanilla. Add flour mixture; mix well. Refrigerate 15 min.

HEAT oven to 375°F. Roll dough into 1-inch balls; coat with remaining sugar. Place, 2 inches apart, on baking sheets. Press your thumb into center of each ball; fill each indentation with about 1/4 tsp. jam.

BAKE 8 to 10 min. or until lightly browned. Cool 1 min. on baking sheets; transfer to wire racks. Cool completely.

I was also disappointed in the chocolate taste. And the cookies turned out cakey.

The cookies were very pretty, quite moist, but lacked that "I want to make these again" thought. Make sure to keep the cookie-to-jelly ratio even. Don't make the cookies too large. If I do make them again I would use Semi-Sweet chocolate instead of Unsweet. The cookie batter just needed more of a delicate taste.

BORING! These cookies had no flavor. I don't see myself making these cookies again.

When you roll the cookie dough into balls - roll it until it's smooth. I used a 1/8 tsp round spoon to make the thumbprints. This work better than my thumb.

I added an additional 1/4 tsp of jam to each cookie center while they were on the cooling rack - it added a bit more flavor. Also, next time I may add raspberry extract...

Excellent recipe!!! Very easy to make and I actually enjoyed it! They turned out beautifully. I forgot to roll the dough in the sugar before putting them in the oven but it still turned out great! I will have to make this again!

These cookies are delicious!! The recipe is sooo easy and it only takes a few minutes before you have chocolaty sweet and moist cookies. I tried them once and couldn't resist baking them again.. A definite "In" for a Cookie Exchange..

These cookies were easy to make, and are very tasty. They are soft and moist and the chocolate and the raspberry are a great combo. They will go in my Christmas cookie rotation.

These cookies not only looks good but they taste good. I love the combo of chocolate and raspberry. Very easy to do and no mess. Great Christmas idea for friends and neighbors.
