What You Need

pkg. (2-layer size) yellow cake mix

pkg. (3.4 oz.) JELL-O Vanilla Flavor Instant Pudding

eggs

2/3

cup BREAKSTONE'S or KNUDSEN Sour Cream

2/3

cup water

1/2

cup oil

cup packed brown sugar

cup chopped PLANTERS Pecans

tsp. powdered sugar

Enjoy serving MAXWELL HOUSE coffee with this delicious recipe.

Make It

HEAT oven to 350ºF.

BEAT first 6 ingredients with mixer until blended. Add brown sugar and nuts; mix well.

POUR into 12-cup fluted tube pan or 10-inch tube pan sprayed with cooking spray.

BAKE 1 hour or until toothpick inserted near center comes out clean. Cool cake in pan 15 min. Loosen cake from sides of pan; invert onto wire rack. Remove pan; cool cake completely. Sprinkle with powdered sugar just before serving.

This cake was very easy to make but the taste was no big deal. I would much rather make a sour cream coffee cake

I made this cake for my family on Thanksgiving. Everyone loved it, the cake was the first dessert finished and that was before the homemade sweet potato pies! This is one of my favorite cake recipes and my husband loves it!

This is the most delicious cake. I've made it numerous times and it is always a big hit...even with people who do not care for sweets. It's easy and fast to make.

I was worried at first that it might need some sort of frosting (like an easy powdered sugar/milk/butter frosting drizzle). I was amazed when I took the first bite at how moist the cake was and how unnecissary the frosting would have been. the dusting of powdered sugar is the perfect pair for this already sweet and moist treat! Great for the holidays!

This is a absolute fav in my household. My father-in-law looooves it. I have substituted butterscotch pudding. Big Winner. Gram loves it too :)
