This is a new family favorite! It's been labeled by some family members as "the best dessert I've EVER had". Definitely a keeper!
Made this for Thanksgiving and I'll be making it for Christmas too! Great for taking along to pot lucks or parties. The leftovers had a better texture, so next time I'll leave it in the refrigerator for 24 hours prior to serving. I substituted semi sweet chocolate chips for the Bakers chocolate with no problem, just don't microwave too long. Added to my favorites!! <<< Response from Kraft Kitchens Expert, Lori ~ Thank you for rating this recipe. We recommend using BAKER’S Chocolate for consistency in melting to ensure the best quality glaze possible for your torte. >>>
This was the hit at both parties i brought it to. Everyone was Ummmming as they were eating it! Made the cake the night before and put in refrig and made the filling the next morning and put together so quickly. Beautiful presentation too!! A Keeper!
I made this cake for Thanksgiving..It was very easy to assemble. Presentation was beautiful. The chocolate cake was delicious but unfortunately, the caramel filling wasnt very good. I felt as though it was missing something. It didnt taste caramely / just tasted sweet. Everyone loved it.
This cake was fantastic!! No one touched the pecan pie, one slice was missing from the pumpkin pie -- but everyone went for the cake! It didnt seem like the filling was going to come together but it finally worked! I added marshellows to the gnache because the semi sweet chocolate still seemed bitter to me. AND microwaving the cool whip didnt seem as though it would work - doesnt it usually separate and burn? - but it really did work! thanks jello! the cake was a huge hit at my thanksgiving!
It is so good. And so easy to make. I will make it again. Thank you.Rich
