This cake was a big hit with all the kids at a family picnic. I would make this cake again, only next time I would add the teddy bears right before I serve it. They were sitting for a couple of hours and turned blue and mushy.I am thinking of making this with vanilla pudding and useing blue food color.
Once A year I have a combinded b-day party far all 5 of my kids 4 boys 1 girl, they absolutly loved it. Even the adults at the party were raving about that cake. Thanks! For once it was a hit!
The kids screamed when they saw the cake. They absolutely loved it and it was so simple to make! This is perfect for summer pool parties!
I made this today for my girls birthday pool party and it was a huge hit! It was so easy to make. It looked great. It even tasted great. The kids loved it as well as the adults.
I thought the cake was great....and it was very easy..I have one suggestion..I hardened the jello completely, and then put it in the cake..It was a wave pool, and the liquid jello didn't seep into the cake....
I made this cake for my son's 10th birthday. It was amazingly easy. Not only did the boys love the way it looked, they came back for seconds. It was gone in 10 minutes!
I made this for my daughter's b-day party and the kids loved the look. Next time I'm giong to cut the jello recipe in half and not dig out so much cake. There was just too much Jello and not enough cake. It tasted great and was easy to make, and I will make it again!
Made for my daughter's 6th birthday and was a BIG hit! Had many ask for the recipe to make for lake parties, etc...
I made this for my sons Luau birthday party and it turned out great!!!. I made a round cake instead of rectangle and used flowers for the umbrellas and it was sooo cute. I will make this again for sure!
I just made this for the "kids" at my fathers day BBQ. It was a big hit! Everyone couldn't believe that I made it and asked how I did it. This cake does take some time in the fridge to solidify but it is VERY easy and doesn't take much of your time to make or decorate it. Once I added the jello using the quick set method I left it in the fridge overnight to harden and then all I had to do before the party was add some whipped topping and crack open the decorations!
