I dont understand why so many people had trouble with this recipe..My guess is they did not let it thicken enough before adding..Also you can spoon it on even if the recipe may not call for it.Nothing is in stone.I always look at recipe timing as approximate. In one fridge it may take 20 minutes, another may take 30..Sometimes common sense comes in to play.If you dont think it is thick enough to keep the layers separate then let it stay in the fridge 5 more minutes. The jello police will not come for you if you have to give it a few extra minutes.

I have made this several times for July 4th. It is always a hit! It is easy, cheap and has a light flavor. Be careful adding the top layer of jello, it spills very easily and can make a big mess...I suggest getting a deep dish pie if possible!!!

This was terrible. I added the red layer and it directly penetrated the cool whip layer making it look and taste terrible. When I made this is wasn't even complete!

There is something seriously the matter with this recipe... although the dessert tasted fine (how can you go wrong with fresh berries and Jello?) it was an absolute eyesore... no eye appeal at all. I might try it again sometime but let the blue layer completely set before adding the Cool Whip and letting the red layer cool right off and spoon it on so as not to penetrate the Cool Whip... perhaps freezing the Cool Whip but that may jeopardize the entire thing. Lovely idea that didn't work at all and I followed instructions completely because that is what I do.

This tasted soo good and looked great! Although I do think it takes longer than the recipe calls for it to set and everything (even with the just the blue layer. so that's why i put it in the refridgerator overnight.

Tasted great, but I recommend using a pre-made graham crust. If you make your own (like I tried), you can't pack the graham tight enough, and it absorbs all the blue jello in the first layer...

Definitely agree on the need for waiting a lot longer to have the gelatins set. Otherwise the red gelatin goes underneath of the whipped cream for an ugly layer effect.
