Taco Bake

We had a hunch about these two. And sure enough, fireworks. Ooey-gooey mac and cheese pairs up with the Tex-Mex flavors of tacos for a match made in heaven.

What You Need

pkg. (14 oz.) KRAFT Deluxe Macaroni & Cheese Dinner

lb. ground beef

pkg. (1-1/4 oz.) TACO BELL® Taco Seasoning Mix

cup BREAKSTONE'S or KNUDSEN Sour Cream

1-1/2

cups KRAFT Shredded Cheddar Cheese, divided

cup TACO BELL® Thick & Chunky Salsa

Make It

HEAT oven to 400°F.

PREPARE Dinner as directed on package. While Macaroni is cooking, cook meat with taco seasoning as directed on package.

STIR sour cream into prepared Dinner; spoon half the Dinner mixture into 8-inch square baking dish sprayed with cooking spray. Top with layers of meat mixture, 1 cup shredded cheese and remaining Dinner mixture; cover.

BAKE 15 min.; top with salsa and remaining shredded cheese. Bake, uncovered, 5 min. or until cheese is melted.

I made this recipe for my parents and they loved it! I am making it again tonight. They want me to make it at least once a month! Tonight I am going to add the tortilla chips and lettuce for a special touch.

My kids RAVED about this recipe. We topped the recipe with tortilla chips, lettuce and tomato. The leftovers didn't even make it through the night. They asked me to make it again 2 nights later!

Terrible!!! The melted chedder in the middle gave the noodles a bad texture. I would never make it again!!!

I made this as a last minute dish for a potluck. My family and friends loved it, esp. the kids. I made a double batch and garnish it with chopped green onions and sliced olives. It was delicious!

This dish was absolutely wonderful. I am not really a big fan on taco recipes but I really enjoyed this. Try it,,,,,,,,,you will love it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My 14 yr old son actually made this for dinner. He had to cook one night a week when my husband and I are both working late. This is a great recipe for a beginner!
