I've made BOTH of these Flag cakes; the regular one and the one with cream cheese. I have to say that my all time favorite is this one; the "Wave Your Flag Cheesecake". The Philadelphia Cream Cheese just sets it off so brilliantly and the taste is unbelievably fantastic! Everyone simply loved it as much as I!!

I took this to a potluck and my dessert was the only one eaten. Other people's store-bought desserts remained untouched. =0)

I found the soggy cake not to be a pleasing texture but the flavor was excellent and overall a very good dessert

This is an awesome dessert. Very light and refreshing on a hot summer day. I've made it every Memorial Day and 4th of July for the last few years and it is always a huge hit. The kids even love it! You can always take the quicker way out by placing the blueberries and strawberries randomly or not decorating the top at all. Still very tasty!

I have been making this for 4th of July for several years now and it is always a big hit. This cheesecake version is much better than the origianl one. Does take a little time to cut the strawberries and make the flag, but very appealing. I have one friend that asks me to make it all year round, so this past month I made him one for his birthday but just dotted the strawberries and blueberries around on the top (faster).

I wouldn't call this a "cake". I followed the recipe exactly, and we really didn't like it at all! The jello did not work texturally for us. Would not recommend or make again.

I mostly liked this recipe. Next time I will use something else for the crust. My mom made a Halloween version of this when I was a kid and she used crushed Oreos. I prefer it like that over the soggy cake. I will also use an electric mixer for the "cheesecake." I had to use frozen blueberries and I think I would have preferred them to fresh on this anyway. The biggest problem I had is that everyone at my party, myself included, are chocoholics and stuck to the ice cream, smores, and brownies. Only 3 pieces of this got eaten. :(
