My 3 year old and I had fun making this recipe. Sent the leftovers with my husband to share with fellow Marines and they loved it.
Original idea for those of us who don't own the expense pumpkin cake pan in Martha Stewart's catalog. Thanks for the idea
very good and a hit for party people andd some spiders plastic on and around it give it a face on pumkin
I made this recipe for a halloween party.. Everyone loved it.. I wouldnt change a thing...
I like all the recipe you sent to me every week but this pumpkin cake are delicious. my kids like and they want me do again thank you so much
I think this recipe is great. the only thing i would change is to just use regular white icing out of the tub instead of going through the trouble of MAKING icing.
I question the 4 cups of sugar for the icing. Mine icing wasn't as smooth as the photo. Plus I wasn't sure if it needed to be refridgerated after I made it. I have put it in the fridge. I think I would use some other kind of icing next time. My 5 year old said it looked great. I made it for a bake sale, so I won't be tasting it, but it looks pretty good. Instead of buying ice cream cones, I went to the local ice cream parlor and they gave me some for free. <<< Response from Kraft Kitchens Expert, Mary ~ The sugar in the recipe should be powdered, not superfine. We are in the process of changing the recipe. >>>
How easy is that? I've been looking for an idea for my son's 1st birthday party. After hearing that you can make pumpkin shaped cakes, I asked every professional in town if they'd make a pumpkin shaped cake for my son's birthday in October...and they all said no..."Too time consuming". When I saw this and read how easy it was I knew I could do it myself. Instead of the fluted pan, I'll be using two bunt cakes stacked.
outstanding, my granddaughter, 11 yrs. old will love this!!
I saw this cake in the food&family mag. and I knew that I was going to have to make this for my son's halloween birthday party. It looks real.
