The stew is quite good and easy to make. I would recommend a hearty bread to go along with it.

Instead of using instant coffee and adding water as suggested, I added one coffee mug of fresh coffee. I also added 1/4 cup of Fat Free Italian dressing. My husband couldn't stop making "yum" sounds while he was eating. This is a keeper!

I've made this recipe twice and have enjoyed it both times. I did add about a 1/2 cup of water and juices from when I browned the meat. I mix the water/juice mixture with the BBQ sauce and pour it on top of the meat, as is in the recipe. I also always cook it on the 7-8 hour, low temp. The meat and vegetables have been tender and have had great flavor!

Big success.... mixed everything up the night before to let it marinate... Cooked it as the recipe stated, but with 1/2 cup of water, four cloves of garlic, and three tblsp of curry...YUMMY!!!

Recipe was easy, however not really for me. Barbeque sauce flavor overpowered the taste of the other ingredients.

EXCELLENT! Almost ate the whole pot myself. I use instant coffee in my chili and knew this would be a great dish. Gave a copy to all of my friends.
