It was very tasty. Had enough for leftovers the next day. I would probably make this again. But without as much of the bbq sauce.

My family loves this beef stew! I've been making it for about a year now and I'm told I don't make it enough. I was unsure of the coffee grains at first but you don't even notice them when its done.

My stew turned out very dry, it needs more liquid than just bbq sauce. When it was done cooking I had to add 1 cup of beef broth which diluted the taste of the bbq sauce. I wouldn't brown the meat before hand because that sealed in all the juices and that's why it was dry. I'm not sure if anyone else had that problem. I also left out the coffee. I don't think I would make this again.

It was a little too sweet but good enough for the kids. I would omit the coffee next time.

My husband and I both enjoyed this. I would probably use a little less coffee next time only because neither of use like coffee.

Just cooked this for the first time and did the exact recipe. We loved the extra kick this stew has that other stew recipes do not. Next time, I think I'll follow some recommendations from others and add mushrooms and tomatoes for the variety. This easy stew is great for the winter but also for the summer as the slow cooker keeps the kitchen from getting too hot.
