I've made this dessert before, and my kids look forward to it every year, but my in-laws never tried it until Thanksgiving 2010 (staunch banana pudding eaters!), and they both had seconds and raved about how delicious it was!!

I served it to my church small group. They loved it and want it again. However I made it w/the hot chocolate since we have kids that partake in the goodies. YUM!!!

I make this all the time.. with hot chocolate instead of coffee. The kids love it. We took it to a family dinner last night - 12 people total. Doubled the recipie and it was GONE!!!!

I did not make the coffee very strong because we had some non-coffee drinkers. EVERYONE loved this! It was wonderfully light!

DELICIOUS!!!!! I've made this several times and love it. It is easy to make and it has a beautiful presentation. The fresh raspberries although a bit pricy at times are the special touch that make this dessert great. Worth the couple extra dollars for the added flavor! This has become a new favorite dessert of mine to make for family dinners. A big hit!!!

I have made this numerous times when entertaining. I substituted the coffee for Kahlua. Very yummy. It went over big time, and the last bites were in great demand. Great presitation. Looks like it would be complex to make, but it is really easy.

Loved it! Made it for a family gathering and it was a huge success! Although I would add 1/2 cup of coffee to soak the Nilla wafers better! Will definitely make it again!

I made this for a Christmas party, and it was the first time that I had ever made a trifle, and I would do this one over and over again! It is very easy and very yummy! I did substitute the shaved chocolate with chocolate wafers and made a crumb from the wafers. I just put a few of the chocolate wafers in a baggie and used a rolling pin to crush them. I also used the chocolate wafers in lieu of the nilla wafers. Everyone enjoyed this, and now I am going to make it for my family Christmas party on Christmas day!

IMPORTANT: I made this 3 times in one week (for different events) it was that well received! While it tastes delicious those who are drawn to the visual appeal of this dessert may be deceived. It is not as easy to create the perfect layers. Use a smaller, less-bowed bowl for best results.
