Sooo difficult to find a good banana bread recipe. This one's great. I took advice from other reviewers and substituted plain greek yogurt for the miracle whip and added 1 t cinnamon, 1/2 t nutmeg and 1/2 t vanilla. Thank you!
Great recipe. Used it many times and now have tweaked it by using 2/3 whole wheat flour to 1/3 white, decreased sugar by 1/4 cup , substituted the mayo with low fat plain Greek yogurt and added 1/4 cup coconut. Awesome!
I added cinnamon and nutmeg, used Splenda instead of sugar and it is Amazing! It was hard to wait for it to cool down before eating, it smells wonderful and tastes even better. This will be the only banana bread recipe I use from now on. Gotta get more miracle whip for the next batch.
Added 1tsp cinnamon and vanilla. Yummy yummy! This is so easy and a keeper!
I've made this recipe about 6 times in the past 8 weeks! The end result is absolutely scrumptious!! So many others I've shared the bread with have asked for the recipe! Glad to pass along recipes that get 5 stars!
I have tried several recipes for banana nut bread but this is the very best !! This is so moist , followed the recipe , no need to change a thing !! Gave a loaf to a dear Italian friend and he said it was the best he had ever eaten .:)
My family intentionally leaves 3 bananas on the counter to get extra ripe, just so I will make this bread for them! It is the best banana recipe that I have ever used and it's so simple! Often times when I don't have enough banana, I add cinnamon applesauce to make up the difference and it adds a whole new flavor dimension! A perfect 10 in my book.
GREAT recipe!! Just had a slice!! So moist and very tasty...I did use splenda instead of sugar and you would never taste the difference!!
Made this last night and was a total hit with the whole family! Thank you. I wonder though, think I could substitute the sugar for applesauce or half half to make it a little healthier?
