Can you even imagine a holiday without green bean casserole? Don't try. The cheesy, crunchy classic is deliciously easy to make and even easier to love.

Family enjoyed this at thanksgiving dinner. will make again next year.
I never heard of putting cheeze wiz in it... very weird tasting... I wont be making this again the way they put it... but I will be making it the normal way next time!
I received this recipe from a friend who loves it. It is so much better than the regular old green bean casserole. Everyone in our family & extended family absolutely loves it, even those who normally hate green bean casserole and were initially forced to try it. My only trouble was that I needed to make sure that the green beans thawed really well. I didn't give it enough time, which wouldn've been okay if I cooked it longer. They were just a little crunchy the first time. Every other time I've made sure they were thawed, and it's been perfect, and easy! Everyone loves it, and so do I!
This is a really good recipe. I have made this recipe and substituted cream of chicken soup instead of cream of mushrooms because some of my family does not like mushrooms.
my family loved this version will serve it again on Thanksgiving
This sound like a recipe that my family would like. The recipe that I use doesn't have the cheese. I going to try it for this Thanksgiving.
I am not a mushroom eater, so I use cream of celery soup and have for years. The family actually likes it better this way!! The cheese onions also give it a little extra twist.
I agree with Cam523, I like the canned green beans better than the frozen!
I made this recipe for Christmas dinner about 3 years ago and I get a request for it every year. I make it for Easter, Thanksgiving, and Christmas every year. My husband and relatives ask me for it every get together. If I offer to bring a dish to pass to a get together, I always am asked to make this. Do I need to say more? I've seen the recipe on the side of the French's fried onions can and everyone prefers this Kraft recipe 100% better!
Okay, clearly put in to put a Kraft food somewhere; try replacing cream of mush with cream of celery, and skip the cheese whiz. The recipe is on the can of fried onions!
