I made this as a dip to take to a party. The men loved it! I put it in a baking dish mixing 1 can of chili and 1pkg of cream cheese then layered with chili on top. Heated it in the oven. I topped it with the cheese right before leaving, while it was still hot. I also served it with corn chips. I was a hit and very simple to fix!! I will include this in my recipes as a great party food.

This is so crazy! I used to make this recipe all of the time in highschool. I did it a little different. I spread cream cheese in a baking dish (small) topped it with the chili, added a little hot sauce and then topped it with mozzerela cheese. I would then pop it into a 350 degree oven and bake it until the cheese was melted. I served it with tortilla chips instead of crackers! It is wonderful, big party pleaser.

I also make it in layers. I melt the cream cheese in the micro & spread it in a glass pie pan. Then I add a can of chili. Over that I put a layer of shredded cheese. Optional: chopped peppers, grilled onions, black olives, green onions. If you hate beans, you can use chili without beans. This recipe is soooo easy & the ingredients are ones that you can keep on hand for a last minute appetizer.

This recipe is very easy, quick and good. But I have made it and instead of leaving the brick of cheese whole, I have softened it and spread it on a microwaveable or oven safe plate and then put chili and cheese on top of that and put in oven or microwave for several minutes and then served with Fritos.

My stepmom brought this recipe home from a vac-k in CO. We actually cut up the cream cheese, mix with the chili, and heat it until the cream cheese is almost melted. Then we add the shredded cheese, and heat for an additional minute. It makes an excellent snack, or a side dish for tacos!
