This cake was very good and very easy! I'm not a huge fan of dark chocolate, so it was a little bitter because it was so rich and chocolately. I made this for Thanksgiving dinner after my first attempt at a different recipe flopped. I added sugared cranberries to the top along with the almonds. It was a crowd pleaser!
One word: AMAZING. I made these as cupcakes so the cook time as a big less and I skipped on the almond topper. Everyone loved these and the icing was top notch. Will definitely make again!
I ADORE this cake!! Even better, I make cupcakes from this recipe, doubling the frosting, and fill the cupcakes with chocolate pudding. After refrigerating overnight, the pudding soaks into the cake, and they are simply marvelous! They look totally professional: I call them my "signature dessert" favorite dessert of all time!!

This was easier than I thought it would be to make. It actually looks just like the picture. I wish the icing was a little sweeter, but overall it's delicious!
I have made this cake several and I love it. I would like to add that it should be made a day ahead, it tastes even better the next day!!!!

This is the best chocolate cake I have ever made and I have made a lot of cakes in my life. My family absolute loved it and it didn't last but a few days. I did make one change and hat was to the frosting - I doubled it which only made it better as far as I am concerned more Cool Whip and more chocolate - yum!! Kraft - you outdid yourself on this one.
I've made this recipe several times and everytime it is a big hit. People are always asking me for the recipe and asking me how hard it is to make. It is so easy and well worth the little effort that goes into it. I even plan to feature it on my food blog to share with everyone!
