I did some changing the second time. I added a flour coating with rosmary and garlic to the mix. Instead of the the box stuffing I took the french bread and made a beef stuffing with italiain seasonings and cooked it. I spooed it on the top of the steak then topped it with the tomatoes and my husband LOVED it.
Will try one more time using suggestions by erikafaul to cook the steaks in oil and balsam vinegar. My thanks to erikafaul.
All the flavors worked very well together, especially the tomatoes and beef, and it was fairly easy to make. My husband absolutely loved it, only next time I'll probably use more cheese than I did (I just sprinkled some on) and less stuffing. I don't think it needed any other spices or flavors, either; very flavorull! I will make it again.
Really good recipe. Try using eye of round steaks and cooking them in a mix of olive oil and balsamic vinegar. It gives them an authentic bruschetta flavor.
Steak was too plain. I used cubed steaks and won't use them again. I will try different steaks and season them.
tasted pretty good, especially the bruschetta mixture. steak was a little bland, needed more seasoning. messy to eat but overall a decent meal
As far as taste goes, I would definitely try another cheese. Even cheddar would give it a better flavor. It was good and it was definitely easy. If you are only making it for two people, then use your eye when measuring out ingredients as you don't need a whole pepper or all that dressing for just two steaks. I'd make it again, my boyfriend liked it a lot.
My family really loved this! It's easy but looks and tastes like a much more difficult meal. I've made it with pork and a mango, pinapple, red pepper topping (without the dressing), also. My family loved that, too. I think chicken would also work well and be just as tasty.
This really was tasty, but i used pepperjack cheese to liven it up a bit.
